This abstract was inspired by a photo I took while eating dinner at a restaurant one night.  It was fun to imagine the scene in a more surreal context.

I have always loved the way paua shells shimmer in the light.  I decided to challenge myself to see if I could paint a snapshot of one.  I know I couldn't capture the shimmer effect, but the color is still amazing.
