We stayed in the Toscana region of Italy one year and it was so beautfiul. I thought this villa was such a quintessential vista that I had to paint it.

This painting was done from a photo I took when we were on a boat ride on Lake Como in the Lombardy region of Italy.  I love all the beautiful villas and vistas.  I would love to go back there one day.

This is inspired by a photo I took when driving through the New England area.  I am not certain which city we were driving by that night, but it was a beautiful picture of the city at sunset.

We went to Letchworth Park in New York State in 2023 during the fall.  We were so fortunate to have such a beautiful day and the autumn leaves were fantastic.  This is a painting I did from one of my photos.  I removed the bridge from the painting though. 

I created this painting for all the fond memories we have of our trips to Cape Code.  It was always so nice to visit family!

I finally got around to creating a storm out at sea.  The source was from Punta Cana and it was an incredible photo but it had people in it which I did not want.  I finalized the idea that it would be an isolated beach after a storm.

I saw the beautiful birch trees in Maine and they were so cool.  I took pictures during early spring so no leaves on the trees yet but I guessed on what the trees would look like in summer.

Our trips to Maine have produced such great inspirational photos.  Years later, I am still finding pictures for references for new paintings like this one.

This is a painting I have been wanting to do for some time, but waited until now because it is so detailed. It may not seem like it by looking at it, but painting the variations in the rocks is time-consuming and tedious but worth it in the end. It is a larger painting as well, so that also adds to the complexity and time.
