I was inspired one morning to paint a still life of one of my favorite Christmas decorations.  He was sitting on the mantel so cute so I just had to use him as a subject!

I have been wanting to do a painting of a horse for a long time.  I finally took a good base picture of a horse.  I was trying to keep the painting simple to really emphasize the beauty of the horse.  The frame is handcrafted in cedar and stained to pick up the tones of the horse.

Leaves and branches that remind me of the begging of fall.
