West Virginia 2021

I never thought I would enjoy going to a ski resort in the summer. We wanted to take a trip that didn't require flying anywhere. This seemed like a beautiful place to go to see breathtaking vistas and be outdoors. Upon arrival, we noticed people were wearing very odd body armor. They looked like tortoise shells. Neither of us knew what was going on. When we got outside, we realized that people were mounting biking down the ski slopes. That was such a cool thing to see! Makes perfect sense to use the slopes for this but it never occurred to us to do this. We were not able to participate in the mountain biking experience but we did go on lots of hikes and other outdoor activities. The views were unbelievable and I would return in a minute to this place. I only added a few of the pictures because many of them are all gorgeous views of the valleys and trees, but you get the idea. 😋
